Community Aid (CA) is a community-driven organization founded by local farmers, leaders, and activists in 1988 and officially registered in 1989 (Registration # DDSW (DGK) 89/27) under the Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration and Control) Ordinance, 1961 (Ordinance XLVI of 1961), Government of Punjab, Pakistan.
Community Aid (CA) was established by the group of community-based farmers’ community and development oriented local leaders & notables for the uplift of the deprived and marginalized segments of the society through enhancing level of awareness about their rights to pave way for better empowerment and participation in decision making and enable them to raise their voices for their rights. CA is focusing the promotion of sustainable, equitable and participatory development, social welfare and social justice and also aiming at providing opportunities that empowers young people to create positive change through The efforts regarding rights based and humanitarian assistance, which will cover the field of economic empowerment, political sensitization, better social bonding, health, education, agriculture, environment, livelihood, disaster management, child rights and women skills development.
The overall development objective of CA is enhanced ability in the target communities to tackle their own economic, social and environmental problems for sustainable community development.
Create awareness and develop local networks for democratic and peaceful society, where people have equal rights and opportunities to lead their lives with honor and self-respect.
Streamline efforts to empower communities through building their capacities for achieving goals of just and participatory development by mobilizing local and external resources.
The goal of CA is to contribute towards improving the living standards of vulnerable communities through a Rights-Based Development Approach, and Humanitarian Assistance.

Community Aid is a well-known organization. It is a member of the Pakistan Gender Coalition (PGC), District WASH Coordination Committee (D-WASH-CC), Scale Up Nutrition Network (SUN), National Humanitarian Network (NHN), Home Net Pakistan (HNP), Child Rights Movement (CRM), Pakistan Coalition on Girls Education (PAGE), Pakistan Coalition on Education (PCE), District Voter Education Committee (DVEC), and District Vigilance Committee (DVC). Community Aid also serves as the Coordinator of the Civil Society Organizations Network (CSOs Network) and is affiliated with global networks such as the Clean Cooking Alliance (CAA) and End Water Poverty (EWP). Additionally, it is a member of the Executive Council of the South Punjab NGOs Forum (SPNF), a founding member of the Coalition Against Child Labor (CACL), part of the Sustainable Livelihood and Enterprise Development Network (SLED Network), and a member of the Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN). Community Aid has also applied for membership in the START Network and is a member of the Global Network of Civil Society Organizations for Disaster Reduction (GNDR) and the Child Protection Working Group (CP), reflecting its strong commitment to collaboration in promoting human welfare and development.
